Loving the reusable designer packaging in McDonald’s France 🇨🇵 🍿

McDonald's has collaborated with Elium Studio over the past two years to create a stunning range of reusable tableware for its restaurants. This initiative complies with local laws requiring restaurants with more than 20 seats to offer reusable and washable serving containers.

The new line of reusable tableware, designed to match the look and feel of McDonald's iconic packaging, includes everything from plastic cups for hot and cold drinks to French fry containers and condiment holders. Made from Tritan, a BPA-free plastic resin, these containers are not only durable but also preserve the taste and aroma of the food.

Inspired by ceramics and glassware, each item was carefully crafted through hundreds of drawings, mock-ups, and prototypes. Special attention was given to details like vents, graining, and striations to ensure they enhance the dining experience.

As French President Emmanuel Macron said when these containers were first tested last year, “The anti-waste law is not just about banning plastic straws. In France, we are making changes to reduce waste and shift our consumption habits. Let's change the game together!”
